IT Manager



Exciting opportunity to join a market leading manufacturer, who create bespoke products for application across the Medical, Laboratory, Automotive, Appliance, Safety and Building Filtration sectors.



They are looking for an IT Manager directly reporting to the Head of Finance. The eligible candidate will be responsible for network and IT assets within the head office. This role will take ownership of the IT function within the head office, and be a pivotal part of the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Resolve IT issues by conducting problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes, aiming to restore service promptly. Escalate incidents to IT Corporate teams when necessary.
  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and various software applications.
  • Assist all users with any logged IT-related incidents when called upon.
  • Install and configure new IT equipment.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and confidentiality, ensuring efficient and appropriate treatment of internal customers in compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Create, maintain, and publish relevant support documentation to facilitate the quick resolution of incidents and service requests, enabling users to become more self-sufficient.
  • Maintain excellent verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues at all organisational levels.
  • Collaborate with the IT Corporate Team to provide support in the development of local and corporate IT projects.
  • Manage local subcontractors as needed.
  • Support the setting of an annual IT budget and monitor expenditure to ensure spending is within budget levels.

Education, Certifications & Experience:

  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in using Windows and all Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capable of working efficiently, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in IT.
