This is a large company with lots of subsidiaries, you will not only bring technical expertise (Java, JavaScript, Data, AWS) but have the ability negotiate and implement change within these subsidiaries.
Your role will be 50% communication (coaching, strategy discussing and reviewing solutions), 30% coding and 20% planning
Responsibilities:
Create an atmosphere that promotes personal development
Act as an advisor to support others in various teams whether that be coaching, mentoring or as an advisory
Promote best practices through training, writing and code reviews
Promote tech innovation ideas towards engineers and stakeholders
Create successful cross-company collaborations
Encourage other developers to part take in extra-circular activities
Maintain high quality public-facing portals that can be monetised
Skills:
Familiar on surface level with several languages: Java, Go, Python, PHP, JavaScript
Iterative deployment, CI/CD, testing
Interviewing and building teams
