Oliver James is working with a leading personal lines insurance organization that is looking to hire a Claims Director for their claims department. You will be responsible for multiple claims teams, including a number of Claims Supervisors and 50+ total reports. You will be responsible for department strategy, claims process, controls and business growth, whilst also ensuring excellent technological innovation and development in maintained.
Role Responsibilities
Responsible for claims operations for personal insurance in USA, with a particular focus on either Home-owners, Renters or Travel Insurance. You will manage direct/indirect reports and key client relationships, along with driving technical and operational performance for a large department. You will also manage various vendors and lead strategy for supplier management.
Skills / Experience Required
- Proven Personal Lines Senior Claims Manager or Claims Director, with experience leading large teams
- Excellent knowledge of a personal business lines, ideally home-owners or renters but others considered
- Keen interest in technology and how that can be applied to insurance and claims
- Ability to drive customer experience strategy
- Ability to manage key client relationships and vendors
- Bachelors Degree and Insurance Qualifications - highly preferred
This role would ideally be office based from New York, but we can also consider remote options anywhere in the USA. This is a very exciting personal lines insurer with excellent progression possibilities.
